WHISKEY TENTACLE FOXTROT CONTEST

WTF Information

Once in a great while, an AMV will appear that is so memorable, so mindblowing, so excruciatingly awful that all you can do is turn your head to one side and say: "WTF?"

Thus the Whiskey Tentacle Foxtrot contest was born.

This contest is a search for the most painfully bad AMV in existence. It can be cliché. It can be cracktastic. It can be sappy. It can be in super fansub quality. It can be just plain wrong. But in the end, only one lucky vidder will be presented the WTF award.

WTF Policies:

Most importantly, the video you submit must be your own. We're not out to pinpoint any one AMV or AMV maker. We want to make fun of as many bad AMVs as possible.

Second, never put Egghat in your pants.

Note: You can drop your entry off and fill out an entry form in Operations. However, as usual, sending in entries well ahead of time is highly encouraged to avoid any playback problems. If you do mail in your WTF entry, be sure to mail it at least two weeks ahead of time! Sometimes the mail delivers things late. ;)

All entries must sign off on an entry form verifying that it is their own work being shown. If you're bringing your video with you to the con instead of submitting it ahead of time, please see the Bridge for a form. Otherwise, you can print out the form at the bottom of the page.

We will accept the following formats for the contest: AVI, DivX, XviD, MPG, WMV, and QuickTime. Other formats may be submitted but are subject to rejection due to playback issues. We highly encourage you to use one of the standard formats listed here.

Most formats will be acceptable, but we highly encourage AVI and MPG. WMV, RealMedia, and Quicktime will also be accepted, but not met with over exuberant fangirl glee.

Although this is an 18+ event, explicit hentai will not be permitted. If you have any questions about the content of your video, please contact the AMV coordinator. Please also note that you will need a state issued ID or passport proving you're 18+ as well as your con badge to view the contest.

Judging for the contest will happen immediately after the showing is completed by round of applause. We'll have an award for Best in Show. And remember that in the end, even if you win, you're a loser anyway.
