Fun Respectful Atmosphere: We at Anime Detour know that being staff is a huge responsibility. We want to promote an atmosphere of fun and excitement for the construction project that is Anime Detour! We ask everyone to try and approach the work happily and helpfully - we know sometimes things can get a little hectic, but arguments rarely help anyone. Talk to the appropriate department head when you have questions or concerns. If applicable, any broader issue will go to the section head, and then the chairman. Most of the time, a little common sense and understanding will go a long ways, and Anime Detour will be a better convention as a result.
Open to the Public: Anime Detour planning meetings are open to the public, however, the core of the meeting is for department reports (Not a free for all). If people want to join staff, have questions, concerns, or other needs please see the appropriate department heads after the reports. We try to get through the business in an orderly and timely fashion.
New Staffers: Each year Anime Detour gains and loses some volunteer staff. The convention can only succeed with the influx of new friendly, helpful, and respectful volunteers. Some departments, but not all, require their staff to be 18+ years of age. Other than that Anime Detour always welcomes volunteers at the convention to help the convention run smoothly.
