First is the Pokemon DS League Challenge

The Pokemon DS League Challenge is a weekend long event. Please try to attend the panel on Friday at 3:30pm to register and to get the full rules for participation.

You have three days to eight collect badges, and then challenge the Elite Four. Beware! The elites are titans this year!  On Sunday, there are two tournaments to enter as a part of this event: If you beat the Elite Four, you will be entered into the Titan Cup Challenge to determine the Titan League Champion. If you are unable to beat the elite four, don’t fret! You can still enter the Titan League Conference.

Second is Team Rocket's Pallet Town Brawl Tournament

This event is unaffiliated with the Pokemon DS league; participation in one is not required for the other, but you can certainly do both if you're really dedicated.  Don't have time for a weekend long event?  This stand-alone tournament will get your fix.  Rules: Pokemon Little Cup. For full rules, see Team Rocket of North America on Facebook. Time: Friday 9pm. Location: Atrium 4. Prizes sponsored by Eagle Anime.

Also, for this year, we have changed the deadline for mail-in transfers. The deadline all mail-in transfers must be post-marked by is Friday, February 24th. Anything postmarked after that date will not be processed, and must be done at the con. Reminder, there is a $5 fee for ALL transfers done at the con.

Remember that we will not process any transfer that does not use the specific membership transfer form. We do NOT accept transfers over the phone.

With that said, there will be NO walk-up registrations available at the convention.

Membership Transfers:

If you know someone that has a registration they don't need, see if they can transfer it to you. Reminder that the deadline for pre-con transfers is March 7th, 2012. You may either mail your signed transfer form, or if you scan it, you can send it to the registration department email address as an attachment. Any transfer after March 7th must be done at the convention. All transfers done at the convention carry a $5 convenience fee. No transfers will be processed without the signed and completed transfer form. Also keep in mind that all transfers are done at the discretion of the registration department heads and are not guaranteed.

It has not been determined exactly how many slots there will be as I am putting it together for the times to follow opposite the programming grid and we have only 1 space dedicated for use.  There may be a couple that will not make the schedule as there have been more submitted than any previous year.

At this time, we'd ask that submissions be in jpg, gif, tif, or png form. Please note that if your submission is selected, we may call on you for a higher quality format.

The deadline for receiving entries will be on February 12th, prior to the monthly ATC board meeting.

To Clarify: We've had a few questions about this topic, we're asking for logo submissions for Anime Twin Cities. Anime Detour's current logo is already set and isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

The Sofitel room block is also filled, but we have the option to expand and we are in the process of doing so.  We hope to have the additional rooms available early next week(the Week of Monday, Jan 9th). If you would like to stay at the Sofitel (Just across the street from the DoubleTree) please follow the instructions below:

The Anime Detour video department wants to let everyone know about an upcoming movie release in Minneapolis, MN. Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos will be at the St. Anthony Main for one week only starting Janurary 20th, 2012.  Let's see if we can pack the house!
