One More Chance to Go... or rather, Ten!
Registration is closed, but your chance to go to Anime Detour this year isn't quite gone yet! Anime Twin Cities has added ten registrations to be auctioned off on eBay, with all proceeds going to charity! We're still finalizing the details, but watch this space for when the final ten registrations start to go up, and details on how you can still go to Anime Detour 2015: There Is No Cure!
Photo Shoot Submission Form is OPEN!
Photo Shoot Submissions are open. Bear in mind, the area that group shots are done in is 20' x 20' so plan accordingly. Time and space may be limited to accommodate other programs that may take place in the garden court.

Registration for Anime Detour 2015 is now closed
At this time, Anime Detour 2015 has reached capacity and we are no longer accepting new registrations. If you have mailed your registration and it is postmarked by today (Jan 17th, 2015), it will still be accepted. Any new forms postmarked after this date will be returned.
If you are still interested in attending but haven't registered, you will have two options:
- Anime Twin Cities will be auctioning off 10 memberships, which 100% of the proceeds will be going to local charities we will announce in the coming weeks. We will keep you informed when we announce the charities these badges will support.
- You may be able to find someone that is willing to transfer their membership to you. All transfers must adhere to our transfer policies, which can be found on our FAQ page. Anime Detour does not keep track of waiting lists of individuals looking for transfers or lists of those with memberships available to transfer. Also note that all transfers are done on your own and at your own risk. Anime Detour is not responsible for any third party transaction nor the result of any such transaction. Again, transfers are done at your own risk. Ask the transferring party for proof that the membership exists before accepting it to help avoid getting scammed. Anime Twin Cities is proud to announce its partnership with This is Geek by being a sponsor of Digital Destruction at the Ramada Mall of America, May 8th and 9th, 2015.
Digital Destruction will feature LAN, console and tabletop gaming, as well as gaming tournaments and arcade machines. You can also talk to representatives from the gaming industry about how they got started in the field. There is a small fee for entering the tournaments; however, this fee is discounted if you have an Anime Detour 2015 badge. General admission is FREE!
This is Geek is getting help from Anime Twin Cities to make Digital Destruction a (mostly) free event. Hotel Update for 2015
With this post the DoubleTree is SOLD OUT.
If you want to go on the wait list for rooms, please email our hotel department at firstname.lastname@example.org. We always have rooms that free up as we get closer to the hotel, however we have wonderful overflow hotel options as well.
This hotel is across the street and within walking distance. Sheraton Bloomington (Formerly Sofitel) is also on a flex scale.
1 or 2 people in the room it is $129.00 per night
3 people in the room is $154.00 per night
4 people in the room is $179.00 per night

The Crowne Plaza
We will have a 24 hour shuttle service between the Crowne Plaze and the convention.
The Crowne Plaza will also be available, with a rate of $109.00 per night. You have two ways of placing a reservation with them. You can call them at (952) 831-8000 and mention at that you with Anime Detour 2015 or you can go online (Crown Plaza Anime Detour Online Reservation) and use the group code ANI. As with last year, we will have shuttle going between the Crowne Plaza and the DoubleTree all weekend long.

Our launch of the hotel rooms for attendees is fast approaching. Just a general reminder, 12 PM on Saturday, 11/15/14 it will go live. We will have people on hand to answer questions and emails as soon as things go live and to troubleshoot all issues.
We would like to ensure that everyone who wants a room is able to get them, so please keep in mind our two Over Flow hotels.

Room Parties submission form NOW OPEN!
Hey all! We are please to announce the Room Parties submission form is officially live and taking your submissions! We would also like to announce some changes to the Anime Detour Room Parties policies that you should be aware of if you’re interested in hosting a room party at Anime Detour 2015.
● All room party hosts and their volunteers must be registered for the convention. No exceptions.
Changes to party hour requirements:
● Parties must be open a minimum 4 hours on Friday and 4 hours on Saturday.
● Parties cannot open before 3pm on Friday as the convention has not yet started.
● Barring emergencies, parties must be open for all of their stated hours. If there is an emergency and the party needs to open late or close early, the party hosts should contact the Room Parties team via Operations.
For parties that wish to serve alcohol:
● Parties may only serve alcohol during their stated open hours.
○ AD will badge alcohol-serving parties at the door. If there is no badger, the party cannot be open.
● Parties must still card for government-issued ID before serving alcohol to anyone.

Anime Detour 2015 Hotel Update
Today I am bringing you all the news about our upcoming hotel reservation opening. On November 15th, 2014 at 12 noon we will be opening up the hotels for reservations. We will have people on hand to answer questions via Email as well as social media. I know many of you are as excited about this as I am.
Here are some important pieces of information about this:
The Hotel room rate is on a flex scale.
- If you have 1 or 2 people in the room it is $119.00 per night
- If you have 3 people in the room it is $129.00 per night
- If you have 4 people in the room it is $139.00 per night
- If you have 5 or more people in the room it is 149.00 per night
- We are setup for people to check in as early as Thursday
We will be validating hotel reservations against registration. Please make sure that one of the names on the room has an active registration. If there are no names on the room that match an active registration, the room will be cancelled.
Due to the high demand we have for rooms for our convention, we are limiting rooms to 1 per person. However if you are a member of a group with a group registration, you should Contact the hotel team directly and we will be taking care of your reservations manually. If we run out of space in the DoubleTree, do not Fear! We will be having two over flow hotels that will be opening up for registration. And just like last year, we will be providing shuttle service to assist with people staying in overflow locations.

Anime Detour 2015 Hotel Update
I know everyone is as excited as we are about the upcoming year, Anime Detour 2015.
We are happy to announce that the Doubletree hotel room block will be opening up earlier than it has in the past. The exact date has not been set in stone quite yet but keep watch on the Anime Detour site for more information. Once everything is finalized we will be release the information to the general public before the actual date and time. This post will include a date and time when the hotel link will go live.
Please know that anyone placing a reservation for a hotel room at Anime Detour must have at least one currently registered attendee staying in the room.
We also are working with hotels in the area as overflow hotels. We will be announcing the details regarding overflow hotels as well before December.
