March 26th 2015, 14:30 CDT

Good Day,

Please remember as you check into the DoubleTree hotel there will be an authorization hold for possible incidentals/damage on your room. This is Hilton corporate policy and Anime Detour has no control over this policy.

This will NOT be charged to your card upon check out unless you use incidentals (room services, etc) or cause damage to your room/items in the room (towels). This is a hold they place on your account at check in (like when paying at the gas station they authorize a $1 but if will change when the payment is processed).

If you are paying cash this authorization is $50 / night stay
If you are using a card this authorization is $30 / night stay

We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause but it has been in place since this hotel became a Hilton.

Please also note that the DoubleTree hotel has requested that you do not use their towels as makeup removers. This results in damaged towels that they are unable to clean and could result in you being charged for the damages.

Thank you,
AD Hotel Department

Hotel Announcement - Clarification of On Street Parking

March 25th 2015, 15:49 CDT

Hello All,

Here is some clarification regarding the on street parking.

Reminder of On Street Parking Hours:

Friday March, 27 8am-4pm

Saturday March 28, 6am-8pm

Sunday March 29, 6am-8pm

Anyone parking outside of the times that the parking has been allocated for the street will be towed at owner’s expense. Also if anyone is parking on the curve farther back from this sign they will also be towed at owner’s expense, no matter the time of day.

Where to begin parking?
If you are traveling west on 78th street just as you start to go around the curve (at that point you will be between both hotels) there is a no parking sign the city requires that we park in front of that No Parking sign going toward Bush Lake Road.

Below is the No Parking sign you want to park in. It is the second no parking sign from the curve in the road. It is right outside the south entrance leading to the crossing to the Sheraton. We ask that you please do not block off the walkway going to the Sheraton though.

Please let us know if you have any questions.
Thank you,
AD Hotel Department

Cherry trees are about to blossom and Anime Detour - the Japanese popular culture convention - is about to begin, so Eden's On Campus offers an eight-course celebration of Japanese cuisine. Some dishes will be traditional, some modern, some shameless.

Here is the menu

Takoyaki with Kewpie-style mayo and Okonomiyaki sauce

Gyoza-style pot stickers with pork, daikon radish and cabbage

Mixed Seaweed salad with Tsukemono and Wafu dressing

Miso Cha-su Ramen with Quail Egg

Salmon and Oyster Motoyaki

Palate Cleanser

Lychee Ginger Sorbet

Deconstructed Sukiyaki with Daikon & Purple Sweet Potatoes

The location is the Eden's on Campus dinner room at the Eden Prairie Hennepin Technical College, which is at 13100 Collegeview Drive, Eden Prairie, MN 55347, about 11 minutes away by car from the convention.

The times of the dinners are Thursday March 26 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Friday March 27 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
